Reflection on Cycle One
after reading my journal for cycleone I asked myself these questions:
1) What happened
The Action was sucessful, I was well received and some new members were clearly enticed across from the bb onto the list. No evidence of wiki edits though, but the wiki was publicised by a 3rd party.
2) What does it mean?
A useful bridge has been built.
3) What happens next?
I'll pop back from time to time, post if I feel like it, and maybe even turn up at the small f2f event in Bermondsey.
4) What did I learn about DAR? ( reflection on process - for the DAR wiki )
* time shift illusion in web boards - and possibly all asynchronous discussions. Coming along later and reading through past discussions is not the same as experiencing them as they unfold.
* The power of the link in sig ( and nickname)
* Relatively new members can make enthusiastic advocates.
5) What did I learn about this Research project? ( to inform the next cycle )
As a proof of concept, it seems to work.
Need to write up findings and reflections more promptly
It was difficult to tell when the cycle ended.
A better reflection model might help.
