The quantitative increase at the targetted areas surprised me a little. At the mid point of the week, I has written a slightly negative refelection about the usfulness of highlighting weak areas, and my impression as the week unfolded was that there were just as many contributins coming in for the rest of the UK. Looking at the hard facts, the quantitative percentage increases, shows that the effect of the focus had been greater than I had perceived, and this in turn shows the need to triangulate personal interpretations of events with some hard quantitative data.
